Kenmore

Located on the Brisbane river only 10 kilometres south-west of the CBD, Kenmore is a dream for any investors looking for a location that’s close to the city, leafy and holds plenty of suburban charm – all qualities that tenants look for. Professionals and families dominate this area with an even mix of detached housing, townhouses and units dotted across the suburb, giving you a variety of investment options.

Marsden

Located in Logan City, Marsden is a relatively large suburban area with a population of around 14,000 people. Predominantly made up of housing estates with a demographic of young adults with families, this area is prime for keen investors to snap up an in-demand area for a good price. Shops, parks and Scrubby Creek are all located in the area, so there’s plenty of appeal to be found for tenants.

The Gap

10 kilometres from the city centre, The Gap has so much going for it beyond its central location. Predominantly made up of houses, The Gap includes a wide variety of architectural styles. But all the pros of this area come at a price, making it a high-end location for investors.

North Lakes

A family-focused suburb that’s so self-sustained, it’s practically its own city. North Lakes has it all including parklands, tranquil lakes, schools, sporting fields and copious shops and restaurants. With so much on offer, it’s no wonder this contemporary master planned community is a top choice for South East Queensland investors. Located 26km North of Brisbane, it’s a close enough commute for city workers while also having the suburban feel many people look for, making it the perfect place to raise a family.

Fig Tree Pocket

An inner-city haven filled with low density housing located only 8 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD, there’s no doubt that Fig Tree Pocket is a desirable suburb for many. With so many trees and parks in the area, noise pollution is low and because it’s located so close to the city centre, property prices are high. Some Fig Tree Pocket properties even hold prime positioning on the Brisbane River for a pretty penny. This desirable location also has a low number of rentals, so if you’re able to snap one up here, you’re bound to fill the properly quickly for a premium price.

Crestmead

Another popular Logan City location, Crestmead also sustains a relatively young population and is a popular location for renters. With light to medium industry businesses also found in the area, Crestmead is a popular choice for those who want to live close to where they work. Investors can find houses for a great price here, and properties are always being filled thanks to the lower price bracket this area fills combined with local schools, parks and employment opportunities in the area.

Paddington

This charming and iconic suburb has the perfect mix of heritage, lifestyle and accessibility. Paddington is located only 2km from the city centre, and its unique vintage appeal and abundance of traditional Queenslanders makes it a dream suburb to live in. People from all corners of Brisbane come to Paddington for its gorgeous cafes and local shops, making it a hot spot for investors and a high demand location for renters.

Springfield Lakes

For tenants looking for a home among the gum trees, Springfield Lakes is a planned community filled with families and young couples. Developed by Lend Lease, this suburb was created within greater Springfield and is Australia’s largest master planned community. This community was created to reduce population build up between the Brisbane and Gold Coast corridor and is filled with everything residents might want or need, making it a highly desirable place to live.

Redbank Plains

Located in the city of Ipswich with a population of over 19,000, there’s no shortage of investment opportunities here. Decent properties can be snapped up here for reasonable prices while fetching a median rent of $340. Over 50% of properties in the area are rentals and a huge 94% of the properties are houses which shows that the rental market here is strong and highly desirable for families.

Brassall

For suburban living at a price that families can afford, Brassall is an investor’s dream. This leafy location in North Ipswich has a boundary marked by the Bremer River along with a number of parks, schools and Brassall Shopping Centre to give locals everything they need. Located 40km out from Brisbane, residents can also hop on the Warrego highway to head to the city for work. It’s also located a short 3 kilometres from Ipswich city centre.
